NCQ is Indiana's premiere SG group and comes from the hills and valleys of Morgan (and surrounding counties). New City sings good ol' Southern Gospel Music with the smoothness and style of the legendary Kingsmen, Statesmen & Cathedral Quartets... while delivering the energy, class and new sounds as modern groups like Legacy Five, Brian Free & Assurance and the Kingdom Heirs. New City sings “most” weekends & “occasionally” on week evenings in an effort to share the gospel in song to listeners throughout the Midwest. You’re sure to see the emotion in the guy’s eyes as well as detect the sincerity in their voices when they sing and if you listen closely, you’ll catch the humor in their interaction. It’s not unusual that listeners find things to laugh at as well as tear up over during their programs. The New City Quartet has 2 missions. One for born-again Christians and another for those who have yet to see the light. The missions are: #1… To share the love of Jesus as well as God’s plan of salvation to anyone who hasn’t heard, hasn’t believed or hasn’t accepted. The New City Quartet’s challenge is to let non-believers know how to become Christians and how to know that they can spend eternity in heaven. Through their music, they just naturally display the type of Christian love that people want to know more about. 2… Sing to Christians, uplift their spirits and remind them that God’s still on the throne and in control. Christians sometimes need reminded that God hasn’t forgotten about them and that even in their darkest times, He still cares and walks with them. We try to provide reminders of this.
